In the Emilia Romagna region of Italy, the number of deaths is increasing in the flood disaster caused by the rains that were effective at the beginning of the week.
According to information based on local authorities by the Italian ANSA agency, the death toll in the flood rose to 13.
It was stated that the number of towns affected by the flood increased to 42, 10 thousand people had to leave their homes and 34 thousand households could not be supplied with electricity.
At some points, it was noted that army units also went to the field to help the local people and participated in the relief efforts.
It has been reported that works are continuing to open the roads closed to transportation due to floods and landslides in the region.
Environment and Energy Security Minister Gilberto Pichetto told a radio channel that they would declare a “state of disaster” for the Emilia Romagna region, which was severely affected by the flooding.
