13 people died in India from extreme heat

At the event, in which the Minister of Interior Amit Shah was also present and presented an award to the local authorities for their services, the participants fainted from thirst and the hot weather.

In the statement made by the authorities, it was stated that at least 13 people died after health problems caused by the extreme heat.

Financial support will be provided by the government to the families of the participants who lost their lives due to sitting under the sun for hours despite the hot weather.
