According to the news in the French press, the Paris Judicial Court announced the decision regarding the case of the 23-year-old youth named Amadou N., who lost his right eye due to the plastic bullet fired by the French police in the city of Mantes-la-Jolie in 2019.
The court ordered the French state to pay 15 thousand euros to Amadou N.
During the violence that broke out in Mantes-la-Jolie in 2019, Amadou N, who returned to his home, was hit by a rubber bullet fired by the police in his right eye. Amadou N had lost sight of his right eye.
Amadou N, who was sentenced to 6 months and 3 years in prison for his involvement in an ambush against the police, was found not guilty in 2020.
