According to national media reports, the ISWAP terrorist organization carried out an attack in the Abadam region of Borno state.
16 people were killed and many injured in the attack.
Abu Musab al-Barnawi, son of Mohammed Yusuf, the founder of the terrorist organization Boko Haram in Nigeria, became the spokesperson for Boko Haram after his father’s death in 2009.
The leadership crisis that started within Boko Haram in 2016 caused the organization to split between Barnawi and Abu Bakr Shekau.
While Shekau was managing Boko Haram, Barnawi continued his actions by establishing ISWAP in cooperation with DAESH.
