3 million euros are needed for the repair of the municipality of Bordeaux, which was set on fire in France

In the news of Le Figaro, it was stated that according to the preliminary cost calculations, at least 3 million euros will be required for the repair of the building.

While the historical door of the building became unusable in the fire, the actual cost is expected to increase further depending on the material to be used during the repair.

The renovation of the building will be carried out by the Municipality and the Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs (Drac).

The historical building, built between 1772-1778 in France, was given to the municipality of Bordeaux in 1835.

Pension reform crisis

The government’s decision to pass the bill, which includes raising the retirement age by 2 years from 62 to 64, without voting, has been protested many times in the country with demonstrations that started on 16 March.

There was a lot of violence between the police and the protesters, who responded harshly to the demonstrations.

While more than 1,000 people were detained in the protests, many mass strikes and protest demonstrations with the participation of millions of people have been held across the country since January when the reform came to the fore.
