According to the news of The Indian Express, Biparjoy storm has started to take effect in the coastal areas of Gujarat.
More than 37,000 people were evacuated in 8 districts of the state, while at least three people, two of whom were children, were killed under the walls that collapsed as a result of the storm.
Indian Interior Minister Amit Shah pointed out that there has been an increase in the number of storms in recent years.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) announced that the storm, which is considered to be “potentially damaging”, is expected to cross the Saurashtra-Kutch coast near Jakhau Port tomorrow.
It is recorded that the speed of the Biparjoy storm can reach 150 kilometers per hour.
Officials predict the storm will reach the state of Rajasthan in a few days.
