According to the news of the UAE official agency WAM, Tahir Garib ez-Zahiri, Director of the Abu Dhabi Anti-Narcotic Crimes Branch, said that an operation was launched upon the intelligence that a large amount of drugs would be brought to the UAE to be sent to the surrounding countries.
Zahiri stated that the suspect, who was followed, took a large number of cans of green beans, which he pretended to be imports, from a port and took them to the warehouse.
Noting that the police raided the warehouse, Zahiri stated that 4.5 million drug pills and materials used in drug making were seized as part of the operation.
Zahiri noted that the smuggling plan of the arrested suspect was crushed by the successful operation of the security forces.
In the beginning of February, approximately 620,000 narcotic pills were seized in the UAE.
