According to the reports in the national press, the police raided the Good News International Church in Kilifi district yesterday after a citizen reported that “suspicious activities in the Church” were being carried out.
In the raid on the church, 4 people, including 3 women, were found dead.
Police confirmed that these people died of starvation.
It was reported that 11 people were rescued in the raid, 6 people were emaciated from starvation and their condition was critical.
During the raid, the priest of the church fled the scene.
The pastor of the church was held responsible for the deaths of two children last month and was released on bail.
