40 million euro grant from EU to Egypt for ‘food security’

In a written statement from the Egyptian Ministry of International Cooperation, it was stated that an agreement was signed within the framework of the European Union (EU) program to support food security in Egypt with 100 million euros.

According to the agreement signed between the Egyptian government and the Italian Development Cooperation Agency, the EU will provide 40 million euro grant support to improve food security efforts in Egypt.

Egyptian Minister of International Cooperation, Ranya al-Mashad, whose statements were included in the statement, emphasized that the program to support food security with the EU enhances Egypt’s national efforts against the effects of the war between Russia and Ukraine.
