In the statement made by the US Geological Survey (USGS), it was announced that an earthquake of 6.5 magnitude occurred at a depth of about 188 kilometers, 40 kilometers southeast of Jurm, located in Badakhshan province in the northeast of Afghanistan.
It was stated that the earthquake was felt in Pakistan and India as well as Afghanistan.
It was stated that the earthquake, which was felt in the capital of Pakistan, Islamabad, Lahore and many cities, lasted at least 30 seconds.
Many people in Pakistan took to the streets.
No loss of life or property in the earthquake has yet been reported.
