According to local sources, unidentified gunmen attacked the Heremakono border post in the Sikasso region, close to the Burkina Faso border.
In the incident, a Ghanaian driver and police officer lost their lives and 3 people were injured.
Unidentified people attacked the village of Djan-Oikoro in Bankass district in the Mopti region, located in the interior of the country.
5 people died in the attack.
Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger, known as the “3 country border” in the Sahel region, have been exposed to attacks by groups affiliated with the terrorist organization Al-Qaeda and DAESH in recent years.
