Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim spoke at the opening session of the United Nations (UN) 5th Conference on Least Developed Countries held in the capital Doha.
Sheikh Tamim, in his speech, “I call on everyone to support Turkey’s efforts to overcome the effects of the earthquake disaster.” said.
The Fifth UN Least Developed Countries Conference, which started with the theme of “from potential to prosperity” hosted by Qatar, will continue until 9 March.
It is expected that approximately 6,000 people, including heads of state and government, ministers, diplomats, senior officials, businessmen, representatives of regional and global organizations, institutions and companies, will attend the conference.
The conference aims to discuss ways to help the least developed countries in the world and to mobilize investment in projects deemed most urgent to advance their economies.
