According to the news of Newsweek, based on the Italian newspaper Il Messaggero, a shelf containing thousands of cheeses collapsed in a cheese factory in the city of Bergamo.
Authorities noted that Giacomo Chiapparini, who is reported to be in his 70s, died under the cheese wheels falling from the collapsing shelf.
According to the Italian newspaper Corriere Della Sera, Chiapparini went to the factory he owned to inspect a piece of machinery.
Workers outside the factory called the fire department after some of the shelves containing the cheese wheels collapsed.
After an all-night search, firefighters found Chiapparini’s body 12 meters from the machine he was thought to be controlling.
