Abdul Kahhar Belhi, spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Taliban interim government, made a statement on the subject on his personal Twitter account.
Belhi stated that new charge d’affaires and diplomats have been appointed to the Tehran Embassy of Afghanistan and that the activities of the embassy will continue with these assignments.
Diplomats at Afghanistan’s Tehran Embassy, on the other hand, took one last souvenir photo and emptied the embassy.
The Afghan Embassies in Turkmenistan, Pakistan, Russia and China were handed over to the Taliban last year.
In the remaining Afghan Embassies around the world, there are diplomats appointed by the previous Afghan government.
No country in the world has officially recognized the Taliban administration until now, including the countries whose embassies in their countries were transferred to the Taliban.
The Taliban came to the administration of Afghanistan on August 15, 2021.
