The International Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid Agency of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Argentina prepared 3 tons of humanitarian aid packages for earthquake victims in cooperation with the Turkish Embassy in Buenos Aires.
In the statement made by the embassy, it was stated that 5 tons of humanitarian aid materials have been sent to Turkey for earthquake victims so far, and that the 4th shipment is intended to be made next week.
Reminding that the last aid material consisted of donations collected by the Argentine Truck Drivers Union through the Islamic Center of the Argentine Republic, it was emphasized that everyone worked shoulder to shoulder.
In the statement, it was stated that Yunus Emre Turkish Cultural Center students in the country worked intensively on social media to announce the aid campaign to wider audiences, and letters of solidarity were received from Argentine friends.
Noting that 9 different draft resolutions were presented to the Argentine Congress in the context of the earthquake disaster, the statement thanked the people and government of Argentina for their intense support.
Argentine search and rescue team, which went to Turkey on February 10, supported the work in Antakya for 10 days.
