A plane bomb was detected in the Russian city of Belgorod at noon. There was a great panic in the region due to the discovery of an aircraft bomb at a point close to the residential areas.
While the teams affiliated to the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry and the experts of the Russian army took precautions in the region, Belgorod Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov announced that 17 buildings were evacuated and said, “An explosive object was detected by the bomb experts. The Russian Ministry of Defense bomb experts decided to neutralize the object by taking it to the polygon. “It has been decided to evacuate the residents of 17 buildings in the area where the object was detected. This means at least 3,000 people. Help will be provided to everyone who needs help with temporary accommodation,” he said.
The bomb was removed and destroyed in an empty field
After the developments, the bomb disposal experts took security measures at the point where the bomb was located and removed the bomb from the pit.
The bomb, which was taken to an empty field by special vehicles, was detonated and destroyed.
Belgorod Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said that the residents of the region were taken back to their homes by 90 buses after the bomb was destroyed, and that 248 people who did not want to go home were hosted in temporary shelters in the city.
Gladkov also stated that pets are taken to shelters and all their needs are met.
