According to the news of the media institution Evangelische Pressedienst, based on the German government’s response to the Left Party’s parliamentary question, 258 anti-Islamic crimes were recorded in Germany until the end of June. This number was determined as 142 in the same period of 2022.
In the first half of the year, 17 people were injured in the attacks carried out within the scope of crimes against Islam. Most of the crimes in question were committed by right-wing extremists.
Kemal Ergün, Chairman of the Islamic Community Milli Gorus (IGMG) Organization, headquartered in Cologne, emphasized that the perpetrators of the attacks on Muslim institutions and mosques in Germany are extremely low, and said, “This is a serious problem. We expect him to examine it in detail and identify the perpetrators.”
