Arab countries condemn attack on Qatar embassy in Sudan

Pointing out the importance of complying with the laws that protect the diplomatic work of the countries, it was noted that the UAE strongly condemns such criminal acts aimed at destabilizing security and stability.

Emphasizing that Kuwait rejects all forms of violence against diplomatic missions, it was stated that such actions are a violation of international law.

Condemning the attack by armed groups and the destruction of Qatar’s embassy building, Oman’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement that “Oman steadfastly rejects any action targeting diplomatic missions.”


Gulf Cooperation Council

In the statement made by the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), it was noted that the raid was strongly condemned.

JCC Secretary-General, Casim Mohammed al-Budeyvi, called on the parties in Sudan to stop conflicts, prevent escalation, and respect international agreements and diplomatic rules that protect civilians from the effects of conflict.

Qatar announced that armed groups raided the embassy buildings in Sudan’s capital Khartoum in the morning and strongly condemned this event.
