There was an armed attack panic in Hamburg, Germany.
Gunmen attacked a Jehovah’s Witness church in the north of the city. There were 50 people in total in the church where the attack took place.
In his statement on the subject, the Minister of Interior of the State of Hamburg said that such a massacre had never been seen in Hamburg before. The minister stated that the attacker had committed suicide by running upstairs when the police arrived.
It was reported that 8 people lost their lives and 8 people were injured in the attack, where all of the victims were German citizens. Four of the injured are in serious condition. A 7-month pregnant woman was also killed in the attack.
In a statement made by the Hamburg police, it was stated that the attacker did not have a criminal record before and that he had a gun license since 2022.
It was announced that the attacker was 35-year-old Philipp F and has lived in Hamburg since 2014. It is reported that he was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses Community until a year and a half ago, but left the community voluntarily.
Hamburg police found 15 full magazines with 15 bullets each and 200 bullets and 4 boxes of ammunition in the perpetrator’s home. His computer and phones are being examined.
