This time there was an attempted robbery of a bank branch in the state of Virginia.
Armed robber took 5 people hostage, including a bank manager, at a bank branch in Arlington, Virginia.
He barricaded himself in the bank. Fortunately, there was no fear, the police detained the suspect, whom they had persuaded as a result of negotiations.
Striking results in the armed assault survey
A survey of armed violence in the United States revealed striking data.
Of those surveyed by the Kaiser Family Foundation, 54 percent said they personally or someone in their family had been affected by a gun incident.
One fifth of the participants stated that one of their family members died due to a gun.
Again, 41 percent of the participants stated that they live in a house with a gun.
Considering the ethnic origin of the participants, the rate of those who were victims of guns in their families was 34 percent in blacks, 18 percent in Latinos, 17 percent in whites and 31 percent in other groups.
