The Israeli Ministry of Defense issued a written statement regarding the rocket attacks from Lebanon.
In the statement, it was stated that Gallant, who received information from the authorities, instructed the defense agency “to be ready for all possible response options due to recent events” before the Security Cabinet meeting this evening.
It was noted that Israeli Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi and Israeli Internal Intelligence Organization Shin-Bet (Shabak) Head Ronen Bar and military officer in charge of Iranian Affairs Tal Kelman, as well as high-level officials attended the meeting.
The Israeli army announced that a series of rockets were fired from Lebanon to the northern regions of the country, and warning sirens were activated in the northern regions of the country.
The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that 34 rockets were launched in the attack.
The emergency service Red Star of David also shared that an Israeli who was hit by shrapnel was slightly injured, and another person was injured while fleeing to the shelter.
It was stated that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu would also convene the security cabinet due to the rocket attacks.
