Publishing a blog post Tuesday, Gates described it as as fundamental as the manufacture of the microprocessor, personal computer, internet and mobile phone.
“It will change the way people work, learn, travel, receive healthcare and communicate with each other,” he said.
Gates’ post came after ChatGPT’s new update and Google’s Bard.
Developed by OpenAI, ChatGPT is an artificial intelligence chatbot programmed to answer online questions using natural, human-like language.
The team behind it received a multi-billion dollar investment from Microsoft in January 2023, and Gates is still working as a consultant.
However, ChatGPT isn’t the only AI-powered chatbot available, with Google recently introducing rival Bard.
