Nkechi Isa, spokesperson of the Nigerian National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), stated that a 2-storey building collapsed in the capital Abuja.
Noting that the dead bodies of 2 people who were under the rubble were reached, İsa said that 37 people were taken out of the rubble with injuries.
Stating that some of the injured were in serious condition, Isa expressed his concern about the increase in the death toll.
Noting that the cause of the collapse of the building is being investigated, Isa stated that search and rescue efforts continue in the incident area.
In the meantime, it is not known how many people remained under the rubble.
