Acceptance of the National Anthem and Çanakkale Epic were celebrated at Kongaz Süleyman Demirel Turkish Moldovan High School in Comrat, the capital of Gagauz Autonomous Region.
Turkey’s Ambassador to Chisinau Uygar Mustafa Sertel, Comrat Consul General Hasan Akdoğan, THY Moldova General Manager Hasan Savaş Erden, Interior Consultant Colonel Enver ÖZKAL, TIKA Coordinator Selda Özdenoğlu and TRT delegation attended the program.
Speaking in the program that started after a minute of silence in memory of the martyrs and the singing of the National Anthem, Ambassador Uygar Mustafa Sertel drew attention to the meaning and importance of the Çanakkale Epic.
“Akif’s Word, The Face of the Republic”
Wishing God’s mercy to those who lost their lives in the earthquake disaster in our country and a speedy recovery to the injured, Sertel thanked the people of Moldova and Gagauz and their government for making them feel that they are with Turkey in the most sincere way after the earthquake disaster, and thanked for this solidarity and support.
Comrat Consul General Hasan Akdoğan stated that he commemorated the martyrs with respect and gratitude and emphasized the importance of victory and epic for our country, our homeland and our future generations.
Gifts from TRT to the winners of the National Anthem reading competition
In the commemoration program, a documentary about Mehmet Akif Ersoy and the Çanakkale Victory was screened.
Various gifts were presented to the student who won the 1st place in the National Anthem Fine Reading Contest, organized by the Education Counselor of the Chisinau Embassy with the theme “Âkif’s Word, The Face of the Republic”.
TRT gave a media kit to the other students who were ranked in the National Anthem Fine Reading Competition.
