As vote counting continued in the second round of the presidential election, celebrations began in different parts of the world.
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s victory was celebrated with enthusiasm in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan.
In the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, the people took to the streets. They formed convoys with public vehicles in Kyrenia, Famagusta, Güzelyurt and Lefke, especially in the capital Nicosia.
Citizens who supported President Erdogan in North Macedonia also took to the streets. While celebrations were held with drums and zurna, long vehicle convoys were formed in the streets.
Turks living in Brussels, the capital of Belgium, were on the streets for celebrations.
In Schaerbeek, where Turks live intensely, citizens raised Turkish flags and chanted slogans supporting President Erdogan.
Lebanese who want to support President Erdoğan also came together for celebrations.
