Consulates General and voting centers abroad have completed their final preparations for the Presidential second round of elections.
1 million 501 thousand registered voters in Germany will go to the polls to elect the 13th President between May 20 and May 24.
Erdem Tunçer, Consul General of Turkey in Frankfurt, said that they have completed their preparations for the Presidential second round election.
“As of yesterday evening, we have completed all our preparations. We received the compass and other materials from Cologne. Our voting will begin at 8 am on Saturday. Our citizens can come and cast their votes until 10 pm on Wednesday.”
Erdem Tunçer, Consul General of Turkey in Frankfurt, asked the citizens to go to the ballot box and cast their votes so that they can exercise their democratic rights.
Türkiye elects president
It is expected that there will be a busy weekend at the foreign representatives and voting centers where the elections will be held.
Consul General Tunçer suggested that citizens who will vote should come to the election area by checking their records in the foreign electoral roll. He also advised citizens who have the opportunity to vote on weekdays.
Elderly and disabled people will vote in the private area
In the Consulate General of Frankfurt election center, elderly and disabled citizens will go to the polls and vote in the special area reserved for them.
Consul General Erdem Tunçer said, “We have designated a separate ballot box for them to relieve them a little more in this second round. Only the elderly and disabled will use it in that ballot box. We want to ensure that they can vote in the most comfortable way.”
Citizens registered in the foreign electoral register will be able to vote by going to the polls from 08:00 in the morning to 22:00 in the evening.
