The charity site created by the Raiser & Kenniff Law Firm on behalf of Penny has been flooded by donors.
On the site, it was seen that more than 51 thousand donors donated a total of 2 million 497 thousand dollars.
It is noteworthy that among the donors, entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, who is a candidate from the Republican party for the 2024 Presidential elections, received 10 thousand dollars and American musician Kid Rock with 5 thousand dollars.
It was informed that the money collected will be used for court costs and possible future damages for Penny, who is accused of Neely’s death.
Penny was released on $100 bail in court on May 12, on charges of second-degree murder.
If found guilty in the case against her, Penny faces up to 15 years in prison.

Jordan Neely, a homeless 30-year-old with mental health problems, exhibited aggressive behavior towards passengers at a subway station on May 1. Neely had died while trying to contain him by strangling him by ex-US Marine Daniel Penny.
The 24-year-old young soldier, who was first detained, was later released. His lawyer, Thomas Kenniff, argued that Penny was trying to protect herself and the other passengers at the time of the incident.
Eyewitnesses stated that Neely shouted at the passengers but did not attack.
The homeless man’s death had sparked outrage and protests for days.
Military records show that Penny, who caused the death of the black Neely, served four years in the US Navy and was discharged with the rank of sergeant in June 2021.
