In the news, it was reported that there were malfunctions in the website of the police force in the state of Brandenburg, and it was informed that the websites of the state’s Ministry of Interior and the police department were attacked by hackers in Thuringia.
In Berlin, it was announced that access to the websites of the state administration took a long time due to the attacks, and the official page of the Saarland state government could not be reached for a while.
Yesterday, cyberattacks were carried out on the websites of ministries and police in the states of Mecklenburg-Vopommern, Lower Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt.
Internet infrastructure was not affected and information was not stolen
Ralf Kleindiek, Under-Secretary for Digitization at the Berlin State Ministry of the Interior, told RBB Television Channel that this attack was “the biggest attack ever on the state government’s websites”.
Kleindeik emphasized that the internet pages were slowed down due to the attack, the internet infrastructure was not affected and the information was not stolen.
According to the statement made by the Ministry of Justice of the State of Lower Saxony, there was an intense access to the internet pages from abroad, and an investigation was started regarding the cyber attacks.
Verden Prosecutor’s Office announced that it is investigating all aspects of the incident.
