EU identifies 19 digital platforms to be subject to strict rules

The EU is preparing to impose strict rules on 19 digital platforms under the Digital Services Act (DSA).

In the statement made by the EU Commission, AliExpress, Amazon Store, Apple AppStore, Bing, Booking.com, Facebook, Google Play, Google Maps, Google, Google Shopping, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Snapchat, It was reported that TikTok Twitter, Wikipedia, Youtube and Zalando will be subject to strict rules.

These platforms will have to comply with all new obligations under DSA within 4 months.

The platforms, which will be tightly regulated by the EU, will prevent disinformation, take swift action against illegal content, better protect children online, and conduct risk assessments.

Platforms that do not comply with the rules can be fined up to 6 percent of their global turnover and terminated from their activities in the EU if violations continue.
