An explosion occurred at an oxygen cylinder filling plant in Sitakunda, Bangladesh.
A large number of first aid and firefighters were dispatched to the scene.
Police Chief Tofazzel Ahmed said the explosion occurred at the oxygen cylinder filling facility in Sitakunda at 4.30pm local time and many workers were trapped inside.
Authorities reported that 6 people lost their lives and 25 people were injured in the incident. It was stated that the fire was brought under control as a result of the work of the firefighters, and the evacuation of the workers inside was carried out successfully.
In June last year, an explosion occurred in a container warehouse in the same area, killing more than 50 people.
