An explosion occurred in a 2-storey building in the city of Tijuana, located in the Mexican state of Baja California. While a total of 28 people were injured, 3 of them seriously, in the explosion, 2 people remained under the rubble.
Vehicles around the building were also damaged due to the explosion.
While the injured were taken to the hospital for treatment by 7 ambulances that came to the region, the civil defense teams started work to rescue the 2 people who were left under the rubble.
Authorities announced that 1 person who was under the rubble was rescued with injuries and was taken to the hospital so far.
There was a previous explosion in the same building.
The Tijuana City Civil Protection Agency pointed out that the building was sealed because it was risky to use before, while the cause of the explosion has not yet been determined.
Eyewitnesses claimed that the explosion took place due to a gas leak and said that another explosion took place in the same building 4 years ago.
