An earthquake alarm sounded at 851 points in Mexico City, the capital of Mexico, at noon.
While many buildings were evacuated after the alarms that caused panic among the citizens, it turned out that the alarms that poured thousands of people onto the street were unfounded.
In the statement made by the Mexican National Seismological Service (SSN), it was stated that no earthquakes occurred in and around the capital city.
Mexico City security officials, on the other hand, announced that earthquake alarms at 851 points in the city were accidentally sounded as a result of an error during maintenance work.
The authorities apologized to the citizens and stated that the investigation into the incident is continuing.
