Flooding in Spain: 3 dead, 3 missing

Heavy rains in Spain caused flooding.

Citizens had a hard time due to floods in the capital Madrid, Toledo city, Castile-La Mancha, Catalonia and Valencia regions.

While the citizens who were stuck in the flood in the city of Toledo were rescued by helicopter, there were disruptions in public transportation due to the floods.

In the flood disaster caused by heavy rains, 3 people lost their lives and 3 people disappeared. Emergency services teams took action to search for the missing.

In the images shared on social media, it was seen that the flood waters blocked the roads, the bridges were damaged due to the floods in the rivers and the vehicles were dragged in the water.

Spain’s National Weather Agency (AEMET) reported precipitation of up to 90 liters per square metre.

Stating that the rains will continue until next Monday, AEMET announced that they have reduced the alarm code from red and orange to yellow.
