In Germany, where the highest number of Turkish voters are located abroad, the votes cast in the Presidential and parliamentary elections showed striking results.
While 65.4 percent of 732 thousand voters supported President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the rate of those who voted for Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu was 32.61 percent.
President Erdoğan was the candidate who received the most votes in all 17 election centers in Germany.
More than 70% of the people voted for Erdoğan in the Essen Consulate General region and Düsseldorf, Münster and Kassel regions.
Votes close in Berlin
The electoral district where Erdoğan and Kılıçdaroğlu received the closest votes was the capital Berlin.
While Erdoğan received 49.2 percent of the votes cast in Berlin, Kılıçdaroğlu received 48.8 percent.
Votes went to the People’s Alliance in the parliamentary elections
In the parliamentary elections, the majority of the citizens in Germany preferred the AK Party.
While the AK Party received 50.44 percent of the votes in Germany, the MHP received 12.62 percent and the Welfare Party again 1.11 percent.
The CHP’s vote rate in Germany was 19.24 percent, and the IYI Party 2.79 percent.
The Green Left Party, on the other hand, has 8.72 percent of the vote.
