According to the first unofficial results announced by the Ministry of Interior, the vote rate of the New Democracy Party exceeded 41 percent. 37.49 percent of the ballot boxes were opened.
According to preliminary results, the main opposition Radical Left Alliance (SYRIZA) came in second with about 20 percent of the vote.
The PASOK-KINAL Alliance received 12.4 percent, the Communist Party of Greece 6.86 percent and the Greek Solution Party 4.52 percent.
