According to the Iranian official agency IRNA, Khamenei received Haniyya and the accompanying delegation in the capital Tehran.
Khamenei stated that Palestinian youth’s sense of responsibility and their individual and collective emergence on the stage of struggle is an important issue.
Drawing attention to the unity and solidarity among the Palestinian groups, Khamenei said that in the recent Gaza attacks, Israel is trying to create divisions between the groups.
Khamenei stated that these efforts were in vain, and said that more focus should be placed on unity and solidarity and that we should continue on the road with strength.
“Palestine land belongs to all Muslims. Therefore, Muslims need to go down to liberate it.” Khamenei said it was a religious duty.
According to a written statement from the Hamas Movement, Haniyeh informed Khamenei about the latest developments in the occupied areas, especially the West Bank.
Heniyye stated that Iran is on the front line in support of the Palestinian people and against the occupation, adding that the resistance is currently in one of its best forms and that it inspires the Palestinian street.
Demanding the end of the blockade on Gaza, Haniyeh demanded that the upright stance of the Palestinian people be supported and efforts in this direction increased.
