Police officers who intervened in a traffic accident on the interstate road passing through the town of Allamuchy in New Jersey, USA, returned from death.
The police vehicles in the accident area were hit by the tractor coming from the opposite lane.
Sharing interior and body camera footage of the crash, which occurred at around 11:30 p.m. local time on February 23, the New Jersey Department of Transportation said, “This is a heart-stopping reminder for first responders why drivers should slow down and pull over. Fortunately, no one was injured this time!’
In the footage, it was heard that the police, who noticed the tow truck coming towards them from the opposite lane, quickly threw themselves out of the way, while the police asked if there were any injuries after the accident.
Allamuchy Fire Department stated that the tow truck involved in the accident was pulling a box truck, and that the police vehicles suffered great damage in the accident.
It was reported that the driver of the tow truck was fined for reckless driving.
