The Sudanese army forced the members of the Rapid Support Forces (HDK), which attacked the strategically important Armored Units Headquarters in the Şejara District in the south of the capital, to withdraw from the region with a heavy artillery attack.
Residents of the city of Umdurman, in the west of the capital, also stated that the army forces supported by the members of the Special Forces continue their operations in the city to remove the HDK forces settled in the homes of the citizens in the region.
In the city of Bahri, north of the capital, violent clashes took place behind the sides. Warplanes made intense sorties in the city, where gunfire and smoke were rising.
In the statement made by the Armed Forces, it was stated that the Commander of the Army, General Abdulfettah al-Burhan, gave instructions to the commanders of the military regions to accept the young people who want to join the army voluntarily and to prepare for the front.
The parties have been in intense conflict for a week for the dominance of strategic points in the cities of Khartoum, Umdurman and Bahri, which are called the three capitals in the central part of Sudan.
