According to Iran’s official news agency IRNA, Kenani answered journalists’ questions about the agenda at his weekly press conference.
Regarding the agreement reached with Saudi Arabia, Kenani said, “The agreement between Iran and Saudi Arabia created a positive atmosphere in the region.” said.
Reminding that a delegation from Saudi Arabia came to Iran on Saturday, Kenani said, “This delegation is working on the reopening of the embassy in Tehran and the consulate general in Mashhad.” he said.
In this context, Kenani shared that a delegation from Iran will also go to Saudi Arabia in the coming days and noted that the said delegation will carry out studies on the resumption of the embassy, consulate general and representation in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Nasser Kenani also underlined that progress has been made in relations with Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates.

Regarding the armed attack that killed 4 Pakistani soldiers on the Iran-Pakistan border in the first days of April, Kenani stated that they condemned the terrorist attack and that the special commission established by the two countries investigated the issue.
Noting that the talks with the Pakistani authorities on the subject are continuing, Kenani argued that behind the incident, there are enemies who want to set the two countries against each other.
The resumption of relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia
Iranian Foreign Minister Hussein Emir Abdullahiyan and Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Ferhan met in Beijing on 6 April and agreed on the reopening of the embassies of the two countries, the resumption of flights between the two countries and the facilitation of visas.
In the joint statement released after the first official meeting at the level of foreign ministers between Tehran and Riyadh after 7 years, it was stated that the two countries agreed to expand their cooperation in all fields.
