According to Iran’s official news agency IRNA, a medium-range ballistic missile called Khyber (Hürremshahr-4) was introduced in the capital Tehran with a program held with the participation of high-ranking military officials.
The liquid-fueled ballistic missile Khyber, which has a range of 2 thousand kilometers from land to land, can carry 1500 kilograms of warheads.
State television also featured footage of the missile being launched and then hitting a target.
Defense Minister Mohammad Reza Ashtiani, who was present at the ceremony, stated that the ballistic missile in question is from the Hürremşehr missile family developed by his country.
Ashtiani said the missile has a very high destructive power and is capable of carrying various warheads.
