Israeli forces injured 6 Palestinians

Demonstrations against illegal settlements in Israel’s Palestinian lands continued in the towns of Nablus, Beit Decen, Beyta, and Karyut, and Kafr Kaddum in Kalkiya.

The demonstrators protested Israel’s violations against Palestinians by setting the car tires on fire.

Chairman of the Palestinian People’s Resistance Committee in Kefr Kaddum, Murad Shiteivi, said that Israeli forces used rubber-coated metal bullets and tear gas in their intervention in the demonstrations.

Şiteyvi stated that 6 people were injured by the bullets and dozens of people were affected by tear gas.

About 666,000 Jewish settlers live

The Palestinian Red Crescent also announced that they intervened at the scene of many people who were affected by tear gas and were in danger of suffocation.

Palestinians hold demonstrations every Friday to protest the illegal construction of Jewish settlements.

According to the data of the Israeli non-governmental organization Peace Now Movement, there are 145 large and 140 illegal settlements in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and approximately 666,000 Jewish settlers live there.

Jewish settlements built by Israel in the occupied Palestinian territories are also considered illegal under international law.
