Israeli forces kill 1 Palestinian in occupied West Bank

In a written statement from the Palestinian Ministry of Health, it was noted that “Ahmad Mohammed Atatira was martyred as a result of the fire opened by Israeli forces near the city of Jenin in the West Bank.”

According to the information received from eyewitnesses, Atatira, who was passing through the Er-Reyhan military checkpoint near the Tura town, on her electric bike, was seriously injured as a result of the fire opened by the Israeli soldiers.

“Israeli forces were not allowed first response”

Witnesses stated that the Israeli forces did not allow intervention to provide first aid to the Palestinians.

In the statement made by the Israeli army, it was noted that a Palestinian who attempted a knife attack near the Er-Reyhan military checkpoint was neutralized.

A mourning was declared for Atatira, who lives in the town of Yabed in the southwest of Jenin and was learned not to be affiliated with any political formation.

In another statement made during the day, the ministry informed that Israeli forces killed two Palestinians in the raid they carried out in the city of Nablus in the West Bank.

Israeli forces have killed 151 Palestinians since the beginning of the year in the occupied West Bank, East Jerusalem and the blockaded Gaza Strip.

33 of these deaths were recorded in the last 5 days in the blockaded Gaza Strip, where the Israeli army launched air strikes on 9 May.
