Demonstrations were held in the towns of Beit Decen, Beyta and Karyut in Nablus, and Kefr Kaddum in Kalkiya, against the illegal settlements of Israel in the Palestinian territories.
Participants in the protests chanted slogans and burned tires against the violations of Jewish settlements and Israel.
Head of the Palestinian People’s Resistance Committee in Kefr Kaddum, Murad Shiteivi, stated that 2 people were injured by rubber bullets while Israeli forces intervened in the demonstrations, and dozens of people were affected by tear gas.
Jewish settlements are also illegal under international law.
Palestinians hold demonstrations every Friday to protest the illegal construction of Jewish settlements.
According to the data of the Israeli non-governmental organization Peace Now Movement, there are 145 large and 140 illegal settlements in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and approximately 666,000 Jewish settlers live there.
Jewish settlements built by Israel in the occupied Palestinian territories are also considered illegal under international law.
