Gassan en-Neccar, an activist from the Burin Village People’s Resistance Group, told Anadolu Agency (AA) that dozens of settlers gathered near the illegal settlement of Givat Ronin, east of Burin, threw stones at Palestinian houses.
Neccar stated that one person was injured in the head in the clash that took place after the Palestinian youths in the village responded.
Neccar stated that the second group of settlers burned 2 cars in another part of the village, and that the simultaneous occurrence of 2 separate attacks showed that the action was planned.
According to United Nations (UN) data, Jewish settlers carried out 849 attacks against Palestinians and their properties in the West Bank in 2022, of which 228 resulted in injuries and 621 in property damage to Palestinian property.
About 700,000 Jewish settlers live around the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem. Jewish settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem are considered illegal under international law.
