Stating that they want to open a new page with African countries, Macron said that they have started work for the return of cultural assets belonging to Africans.
Macron stated that France will reduce the number of military bases on the continent.
Francefrik
Originally, the term Francefrik was used by French intellectuals to refer to their countries’ new policies regarding Africa after the Second World War.
Francefrik is interpreted as the policy that France built its economic, diplomatic and military relations with Sub-Saharan African countries on neo-colonialism.
