The residents of Karachi, who saw the lion running away from the transport vehicle walking on the street, experienced great panic.
Wildlife Conservation Chief Javed Ahmed Mahar warned locals not to panic or approach the lion.
Mahar stated that the lion is domesticated, used to being around people and has no potential to harm.
Superintendent Sheraz Nazir said the animal escaped while being transported to the veterinarian and hid under another vehicle.
While the police cordoning off the area detained the driver of the transport vehicle and the lion breeder, the lion was caught and handed over to the Wildlife Protection authorities.
