More than 70 percent of French people think Macron is not a good president, according to a poll by the public opinion research group BVA.
Macron’s popularity fell to 28%, the lowest level since he took office.
His popularity fell 6 points from the previous month due to Macron’s insistence on controversial pension reform.
On the other hand, the popularity of Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne, who directly accepted the reform without presenting it to parliament, dropped by 2 points to the lowest level since she took office in May 2022.
Two-thirds of respondents want the controversial reform to increase the retirement age by 2 years from 62 to 64 to be withdrawn.
The survey was conducted on 24-25 March with 1000 people over the age of 18 representing the population of the country.
Macron’s popularity had risen above 34 percent in polls conducted in previous months.
