The Ministry of Defense of the interim government of the Taliban made a statement on the matter.
In the statement, it was informed that the MD-530 type military helicopter, which was on its way from the center of the Belh province in northern Afghanistan, Mazar-i-Sharif to the Samangan province, crashed in the morning hours near the town of Hulm and two pilots were killed.
It was announced that the helicopter crashed as a result of hitting a power pole, and the details of the incident are being investigated.
In September 2022, a helicopter crashed during a training flight in the capital, Kabul, and 3 people lost their lives.

During the period when the Taliban came to the administration of Afghanistan in August 2021, all of the military vehicles, including helicopters, were left to the Taliban administration, both under the previous Afghan government and at the bases from which the US withdrew.
The Taliban administration is trying to repair and use the military vehicles in question by eliminating the technical deficiencies.
