According to the statement made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Ceyhun Bayramov and Iranian Foreign Minister Hussein Emir Abdullahiyan mutually expressed that they respect the territorial integrity and sovereignty of both countries.
While the ministers discussed the dissatisfaction and disagreements between the two countries in detail, they emphasized the importance of continuing the negotiations to resolve the disagreements.
At the meeting, an agreement was reached between Azerbaijan and Iran on the implementation of existing projects.
Bayramov conveyed to his Iranian counterpart that it is important to respect Azerbaijan’s independent foreign policy based on its national interests and its bilateral relations with the countries of the region.
Ministers noted that it is important to maintain mutual contacts.
