Isa Sanusi, Director of Amnesty International (AI) and Allamin Foundation Nigeria, stated that thousands of people have disappeared due to the attacks of the Boko Haram terrorist organization, which has increased in the northeastern region of the country.
Stating that more than 23 thousand cases of disappearance were detected due to the terrorist incidents in the region in 14 years, Sanusi stated that the government remained silent against these disappearances.
Sanusi said that they will intensify their campaigns regarding the government’s silence in the face of these events.
Tens of thousands of people have lost their lives in the massive acts of violence carried out by Boko Haram, which has existed in Nigeria since the early 2000s.
The organization has also been carrying out attacks in the country’s border neighbors Cameroon, Chad and Niger since 2015.
